Amsterdam Inn & Suites

It was one of the most amazing stays I have ever experienced at any accommodation in years. The front desk assistant made check-in a breeze. The room was extremely comfortable and well appointed, including the superb bed and bedding. It was very clean and quiet. Also, the breakfast the following morning was tasty and fresh. I was so impressed at the care and effort put forth by Amsterdam Inn and can confidentially say that I will be staying again at your wonderful establishment.

The Amsterdam was my base for a 4 day fishing trip. From the moment I arrived until leaving I could not find a single thing wrong. The public areas and the rooms were very clean, Oma would approve. Being on the ground floor made it easy to unload and load my vehicle and the porch was great for enjoying the evenngs outside. The breakfasts were excellent and filling and there are lots of choices for food nearby for other meals.Definitely my go to hotel now. Hup Holland Hup.

Great, inexpensive place, they don't have a pool but offer entrance tickets to the civic centre which has a pool and is a 1 minute drive from the hotel-just be sure to check the pool schedule. The room was super clean and the staff were very friendly.

I had originally booked a stay at the Amsterdam Inn Sussex for a summer road trip with my family. Unfortunately, due to an unexpected emergency at home, we had to cancel the entire trip. In the midst of everything, I forgot to cancel this reservation specifically and was subsequently marked as a no-show. At first, I was surprised to be charged for the full stay, as the no-show policy on the website mentioned a $150 fee but did not clearly indicate that it would be applied per night. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, Tina, she was professional, courteous and understanding. She explained that the hotel had been fully booked that weekend but still offered to refund one night as a gesture of goodwill — which I sincerely appreciated. While I believe the no-show policy could benefit from clearer wording and a reminder email ahead of the reservation would have been helpful, I genuinely value the way my concern was handled. Tina demonstrated integrity and a willingness to meet me halfway, which speaks volumes about the quality of customer service at the hotel. Because of her professionalism and understanding, I would consider staying here again in the future — hopefully under better circumstances.

In general, I liked the hotel, but there were some nuances. It is obvious that the rooms are old, but well-kept, everything was clean. The room had everything you need, even a microwave, which was a surprise for us. The room was warm, there was a private heater. The breakfast was modest, but satisfying, the only thing that was missing were vegetables, there were none at all. What was new for me was the deposit that they took upon check-in, I did not understand why.

My stay here was great, the rooms were magnificent. Plus, it's within walking distance of everything a person needs. Walmart, Canadian Tire, KFC, McDonald's and Sobey's. I will definitely stay here again.

Check-in was fast and pleasant. The room was incredibly clean. The bed was so comfortable, it was like sleeping on a cloud. Breakfast was lovely. We had a wonderful experience.

Great place to stay. Pet friendly, but only up to 50 lbs. Didn't know that when we booked it. But they were kind and allowed us bring our larger breed dog in. Would stay again if it dog were smaller.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Super comfortable beds, clean and quiet, very quaint. Good breakfast, hot and cold options. Would absolutely recommend and return if in the area. Free charging station for electrical vehicle a plus. Small strip mall across the road
